Milligan’s softball team lost their first AAC conference game opener, 6-1, and won the second, 2-1, in a doubleheader against Virginia Intermont College at Bristol Va. yesterday.
Abby Hughes, junior, opened the scoring for the Buffaloes in the first game but the Cobras scored four runs in the fourth inning and two in the sixth taking a first game victory.
The Buffaloes took charge of the second game as sophomore Krista Lambdin and freshman Megan Nicol secured the win for the Buffaloes.
Milligan is now 3-1 in the AAC conference.
The Buffaloes return to action today as they host Bryan College in a doubleheader at Anglin Field. First game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the second at 4 p.m.
