On Monday, Oct. 8, a group of Milligan students were inducted into the Tennessee Nu chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society at Hopwood Christian Church.

According to the Alpha Chi website, Alpha Chi is a “US national honor society for undergraduate juniors and seniors in all academic disciplines.”

In front of family, friends and Milligan faculty each inductee had the opportunity to speak about a faculty member who has had a great impact on their life since they arrived at Milligan. After the speeches, students presented their faculty member with a letter.

After the presentation of letters, Lori Mills and Bob Mahan, Alpha Chi faculty sponsors proceeded with the induction ceremony.

Inductees had to recite a pledge, light a candle, and sign their names to the Alpha Chi roll.

Upon completion of the induction ceremony, refreshments were provided by John and Mary Jackson, also Alpha Chi faculty sponsors.
