Now I know that the last food blog entry was about coupons that were able to score you a cheap meal. I want to make sure to that you don’t miss out on a sweet deal that I have been going to every Monday since I was a freshman.
Johnny Brusco’s Pizza in Johnson City is about ten minutes from campus, right across the street from the Johnson City Mall. Now the deal that you want to capitalize on is the dollar slice night. That’s right- every Monday they serve cheese slices for only a buck. Now I know what you may be thinking, “Come on man, it would take like 5 slices to fill me up!” Well, I think you will be surprised. In fact, I have been known to put down the pizza after eating just two of their huge slices, so I think you maybe in the same boat as me; if you can eat more than four, you’re an animal. You may also think, “Well if it is only a buck than it can’t be that good of pizza.” Trust me on this one– I have lived in this area all my life and they have some of the best pizza in the area, so give it a try. If you do not mind a crowd, then going between five and seven will not be a problem. If you are like me, and don’t like huge crowds, then the best time for you to go is after 7. Not only do they have good deals on Monday, but they have different specials all week long. One of which is ½ price appetizers on Tuesdays!
