We all have a few extra books lying around, right? Why not make some art with them!
I already had two copies of several books, so I picked one of those to use for this project.
Skim the book and look for a key phrase you would like to emphasize. Rip out the page with the phrase on it, box in the phrase, and begin blackening out the rest of the words.
I liked the look of the white border around the blackened area, so I only blackened the words in order to keep the space around it open. However, you are welcome to blacken on the entire page—that would look great, too!
Buy a few cheap picture frames, put your blackened pages inside, and hang them up!
I watched the Michael’s ads until frames went on sale and then used another coupon, so each frame was less than $3.
All together, this project cost less than $10 and can fill some blank space on your walls! Happy crafting!
