I can’t count the number of times my friends have told me how excited they are to move into a real apartment: one without cement walls. They want to decorate it and create a warm space to live in.

Well, guess what? You can create a warm space to live in, right in your dorm room. Although the cement walls do make it feel cold, one of my favorite ways to brighten a room is to make some flower arrangements to display!

The best part about this task is that you don’t even have to be crafty.

Here’s what you need to do:

Go to Michael’s, or any other craft store of your choice. (Look for coupons first, of course.)

Pick out some fake flowers that look good together. Everyone’s taste is different, so pick out what you like!

Find some inexpensive tins or jars to display the flowers.

Enjoy!

This is the perfect craft for break because you have plenty of time to hunt out the best and least expensive flowers and tins. Michael’s is having a 50 percent off all fake floral sale, as well as a 50 percent sale on a lot of their tins, so that’s where I went.

Feel free to get creative with your tins or jars… add some ribbon, burlap or lace to spruce them up.

Good luck!
