Milligan College students, are you looking for a unique class to complete your 2014 spring semester schedule?
How about trying the course BIOL 210: Flora and Fauna of the Southern Appalachian Area? This course takes the classroom outside to the trail where students hike and learn about the the plant life in Southern Appalachia. The class meets Saturdays from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. and counts as a four hour science credit.
Color and play by play commentators, camera operators, directors and more are a part of COMM 195: Stream Team. The team will video stream baseball, softball and men’s and women’s basketball. One to three credit hours are available.
BADM 170: Personal Finance is a course taught by Professor Mark Peacock that offers information applicable to all majors. The class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:05 – 3 p.m. This course gives students a better understanding of financial record keeping, credit management, consumer laws, real estate transactions, insurance purchasing, investments, and retirement and estate planning — putting them one step closer to a secure financial future.
Professor Phil Kennesson offers the course BIBL 473: Spirituality in Everyday Life. This class is designed to help students explore how faith can be grown and nurtured through everyday life. Enrolling students must be juniors or seniors. The class meets on Wednesdays from 12:20 – 3 p.m. and is three semester hours.
COMM 195-004: Jesus in the Movies with Professors Kenny Suit and John Jackson is an interdisciplinary course that examines the various ways faith has been expressed in world cinema. The class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3:10 – 4:05 p.m. and is three credit hours.
Get involved in your college FM radio station WUMN 90.5. Register for COMM 184-001 Radio Lab. You can host your own radio show along with a friend. The station can be heard on www.milliganradio.com 24/7 as well. So friends and family back home can hear your show.
Registration for classes began Nov. 4 for seniors and will continue through Wednesday, Nov. 13 for freshmen.
