The Milligan College swimming team celebrated Senior Night with 11 first place finishes against Berry College and King College last Friday in the Steve Lacey Fieldhouse.
A ceremony was held for the four graduating seniors Eron Cavanaugh, Adam Lewis, Aaron Pigford and Chris Fry.
Hannah Hubbard won the 200-meter and 100-meter freestyle events, improving her to an “A” qualifying time for the 2012 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships.
TJ Neumann raced to win the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 24.66, while Aaron Pigford came in a close second with 24.69.

The Milligan women grabbed victories in the 200-meter IM and 100-meter butterfly from MariKate Walker. Laura Ault won the 100-meter backstroke and Abby Gibbons finished first in the 100-meter breastroke.
Milligan picked up victories with the men’s and women’s 200-meter medley relay teams with times of 1:52.59
Together, the Milligan Buffaloes beat King 109-54 and Berry 99-79. The Milligan men defeated King 53-29 and Berry 52-38 while the Milligan women crushed King 56-25 and Berry 47-21.
The Buffaloes head to the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships on Feb. 16-18 at Union (Ky.) College in Barbourville, Ky.
