Webb, Kegley, and Quillen students were confused Wednesday morning after prank Wonderful Wednesday papers were slid under their doors.
The prank caused students to be tardy or miss their first class but it also gave them a good laugh.
The slips of paper said it was Wonderful Wednesday and they gave a tentative schedule of events for the day including the traditional Faculty Hunt and a trip to “Wet Lands.”
“I was hesitant from the beginning”, Abraham Abenezer, a Webb resident said, “but I wasn’t sure so I went to my friend’s room and we talked it over and realized it was fake. I was sort of disappointed but I give props to whoever did it. It was a good prank.”
Katy Mosby sent out an email to all students telling them that “Today is not Wonderful Wednesday” at 7:54 AM. Mosby said a student contacted her letting her know about the prank.
However, by the time some students got it, they were going to be or were already late. Freshman DonJuan Hale said he ended up being ten minutes late by the time he got to class after the email.
The pranksters are keeping their identities hidden but rumors are being spread about who they are. Some say it was a senior prank. Others say it was just a random prank done by some mischievous students.
