Milligan College student Phillip Davis has returned home and is doing well. He has no nerve damage in his arm and it appears that his scars will be limited to his left ear. He will have to go back to Vanderbilt a few times for treatments, and his progress will determine how many times he has to go, according to an e-mail sent out by President Greer on April 11th.
Anyone wanting to donate to the Phil Davis Burn Fund can send a check payable to Milligan College with a memo notation for the “burn fund” to Phil Davis Burn Fund, PO Box 750, Milligan, TN 37682.

This evening Milligan freshman, Phillip Davis, suffered burn injuries while working on his friend Josh Hubbard’s Jeep.
According to Davis’ youth leader at Zion Baptist Church in Elizabethton, Adam Williams, gas was spilt on the car motor while Davis was checking the motor; the car was ignited by Hubbard and it spit out flames, burning the left side of Davis’ body.
Davis was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center and then to Vanderbilt by ambulance.
“Josh was told that Vanderbilt will keep Phillip a minimum of two weeks and he may or may not have to have surgery on his left hand because it was burned pretty bad,” Williams said.
Hubbard was not injured.
Davis, a commuter, is a Happy Valley graduate and a volunteer firefighter at West Carter County Volunteer Fire Department.
