It is hard for me to believe that my college career is coming to an end. I feel blessed to have been part of such a close-knit community and I will forever be grateful for my professors and peers. Without Milligan I would have never had the opportunity to participate in the amazing experiences that I did. My communication professors were such an inspiration and without them I don’t think that I would be where I am journalistically. Participating in the Washington Journalism Center during the spring semester of 2011 was a dream come true and I would highly encourage students to participate in the BestSemester program. The knowledge and experience that I gained while there will always be with me. That experience reinforced that journalism is what God has called me to do with my life. I was put on this earth to be an outlet for those who don’t have another way to express themselves. D.C. not only introduced me to the fast-paced life of a journalist, but it also introduced me to lifelong friends, which I will forever be grateful for.

It has been an honor to serve my fellow peers as the Editor-in-Chief of The Stampede. The student feedback that I received during my time as editor gave me the motivation that I needed to continue striving to provide the college with the latest and most important news available. I can only hope that my successor enjoys the position as Editor-in-Chief as much as I did.

I wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors and I would like to congratulate all of my fellow graduates.
