Around 40 students attended the Missions Art Gallery coffeehouse event held last Friday to listen and share in the experiences of students who went on mission trips to Haiti, Mozambique and Kenya this past summer.

Students showed their support by purchasing pastries and coffee that would benefit Vision360 Ministries, an organization that helps to build churches in other countries.

Spokesperson for Vision360, Bruce Colson shared his testimony as a mission’s trip leader and the work he has done in Brazil and Mozambique.

Chairperson for the Cross Cultural Missions Committee, Pai Mushayamunda said the event was held to “display what students have done around the world to impact other’s lives and to challenge students to do more.”

He said it was a good place to see what everyone was doing and find out more information on mission trips from experienced individuals.

Photographs were displayed around the room and showed what the mission’s trip students did while helping people in these countries.

“Haiti was life changing for me,” said senior Matt Waeckerle. “It helped me realize how big God really is.”

Been born to missionary parents in Zimbabwe, junior Christian Brewer said, “I love spreading the word of Jesus.”

Other students who shared their mission trip experiences were Sarah Underwood, Harper Severance, Shayla Wood, Kylie Russell, and Angela Highfield.
