The Milligan College Information Technology (I.T.) department is offering an annual electronic waste disposal service today and tomorrow.

Curtis Huskins, I.T. and communication technician, said a disposal company based in Knoxville, Tenn. will collect electronics on Wednesday and will recycle 99.9 percent of all equipment. The service is free to students and faculty and did not cost the college to host.

Waste can be left on pallets located outside the Physical Plant. Though I.T. prefers waste to be dropped off today and tomorrow, the department may be able to arrange an alternative date for items to be picked up.

What types of items are accepted?

– cellphones
– laptops
– computer towers
– printers
– radios
– etc.

For addition information, contact I.T. at 423-461-8704.
