Q: How will your photography help you and your nursing career?
A: At first I thought photography would be just a hobby, but the more I got into it the more I realize it teaches you life lessons and characteristics that will help me in any field but especially in nursing.
Q: What is your favorite picture?
A: It was the first one that really sparked my interest in photography. I took it when I was 13 with a little point and shoot camera. It was at the Japanese water gardens in Fort Worth, Texas and the picture was of a bright red leaf on top of a green shrub. This picture made me love landscapes and pictures because it allowed me to feel at one with the creator and his creation while allowing me to share his work with others.
Q: Where could someone see your work?
A: As far as Milligan goes we have a lot of options. There are the boards in the basement of Gregory that show the artwork of the photography classes. You can go to some of the senior art shows and there is the Nelson Fine Art show coming up on February 7th.
Q: Who is your biggest influence?
A: I would say Dorothea Lange is my favorite photography. I really like her work and her story.
