If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding but worry about the high cost associated with those sports, don’t be deterred. If you shop around and know about the deals, snow sports can be quite affordable, even for the average college student. Here’s a list of some local places to go and special deals for college students. (Make sure to bring your college ID.)

To save more money, make sure to pack a lunch when you go out. Also, ask around and see if you can find gear to borrow. As small as Milligan is, chances are you know someone who knows someone with extra gear lying around that they’d be willing to let you borrow!
Also, going for a half a day or at night is much cheaper than going for an entire day. On average, you’ll really only spend about 4 hours on the slopes, even if you pay for an entire day.
