Being a student who is constantly on the go, you often wonder how on earth you are going to keep yourself healthy.
Susie Dayton, the campus nurse, knows that students should be cautious. She explains the virus is airborne, so we should always be sure that we know our surroundings.
Keep your distance from anyone that you think may have symptoms of the flu.
Be sure to use your elbow or a tissue when you sneeze, and wash your hands whenever possible.
The virus can live on any surface for up to 24 hours. Hand sanitizer should be your best friend when it comes to daily activity.
The nurse’s availability here on campus is Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. If she is not available, you should quickly find your RA or the hall RD and let them know that you are not feeling well.

Also, a good way to keep your immune system built up is by drinking orange juice and taking vitamin C. It may not be the “cure” to you not feeling well, but it sure will be a step in the right direction!
